Growing up surrounded by Tanzania’s wilderness, I was fortunate to witness my family’s deep connection with the African bush and its wildlife.
My grandfather, Hassan Mulla, was the first great influence in my journey. His wisdom, integrity, and profound respect for nature shaped my appreciation for Tanzania’s natural heritage.
Following in his footsteps, my father, Abdulbasit Mulla, became a respected professional hunter and later founded Francolin Safaris, embracing both wildlife and photographic tourism. Watching his passion and knowledge of the African wilderness inspired me to carry that connection forward.
Years later, my husband and I shared a vision: to create a safari company that would combine our love for Tanzania with exceptional hospitality and unforgettable experiences.
That vision became Great Lion Safaris.
Why “Great Lion”?
The name was chosen by my husband to represent the strength, majesty, and spirit of the lion—the king of the African wilderness.
Together, we created our promise to every guest:
“In the Land of Kings, You Are Royal Too.”
